  • Mr. Sullivan’s real estate practice includes representing purchasers, sellers and lenders in residential real estate transactions. He has handled thousands of residential real estate closings during his career. His real estate practice also includes representing parties to commercial real estate transactions and negotiating commercial and residential real estate leases.

    Mr. Sullivan’s wills, trusts & estates practice includes counseling clients with respect to a variety of estate planning issues; drafting wills, trusts, powers of attorney and other instruments designed to meet estate planning needs; and representing executors and administrators of estates in probate and administration matters.

    Mr. Sullivan’s business practice includes representing clients in a variety of business matters. He has particular experience representing software development and other technology companies in connection with licensing, hosting and related technology law matters.

    Prior to founding John C. Sullivan P.C. in 1992, Mr. Sullivan was an Assistant District Attorney in the Manhattan District Attorney’s Office. He received his law degree from New York Law School in 1988.

    He is admitted to practice law in the State of New York and is a member of the New York State Bar Association.

  • Mr. Sullivan’s business practice includes representing clients in a variety of business matters including: entity formation, ownership and governance matters; financing and investment transactions; commercial loan transactions; technology and intellectual property matters; sales, fulfillment, license and other contract matters; mergers and acquisitions; and competition, consumer protection, privacy and other compliance matters.

    Mr. Sullivan’s experience includes representing companies, founders, officers, directors and investors in financing and investment transactions including: founder, angel, venture capital, strategic and other private investment transactions; private placements, IPOs, follow-on offerings, secondary offerings, PIPEs, 144A offerings and other securities transactions; 34 Act, NYSE, Nasdaq, AMEX, Sarbanes Oxley and other securities compliance matters; and mergers and acquisitions.

    In the area of real estate, Mr. Sullivan’s practice includes representing landlords and tenants in commercial leasing transactions. He also represents lenders and borrowers in commercial real estate financing transactions.

    Mr. Sullivan’s wills, trusts & estates practice includes counseling clients with respect to a variety of estate planning issues; drafting wills, trusts and other instruments designed to meet estate planning needs; and representing executors and administrators of estates in probate and administration matters.

    Prior to joining John C. Sullivan P.C., Mr. Sullivan was a corporate lawyer at large law firms in New York City and Connecticut for 10 years. He also spent three years as a staff attorney in the Enforcement Division of the United States Securities and Exchange Commission in New York City.

    Mr. Sullivan received his law degree from Hofstra Law School in 1993 where he was a member of the Hofstra Law Review. Prior to law school, he worked as a certified public accountant at Ernst & Young in New York City.​

    Mr. Sullivan is admitted to practice in New York State and Connecticut.

    In her business practice, Ms. Sullivan has extensive experience representing software and other technology companies in connection with outsourcing, licensing and related technology law matters.

    Ms. Sullivan’s wills, trusts & estates practice includes counseling clients with respect to estate planning issues and drafting instruments designed to meet estate planning needs.

    Prior to joining John C. Sullivan P.C., Ms. Sullivan worked for more than 18 years as a corporate lawyer at major, international law firms in New York City.

    She received her law degree Summa Cum Laude in 1988 from New York Law School, where she was an editor of the New York Law School Law Review.

    Ms. Sullivan is admitted to practice law in the State of New York.
